At Santa Cruz Dance Company our mission is to develop our students to be self-expressed individuals in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. Among our highest values are the spirit of community, vitality adn healthy fit body. Students learn the technique of dance as well as a variety of inspiring choreography. Each class is an apportunity to celebrate and learn, providing students with inspiration, appreciation and skills to enjoy dance for a lifetime. Santa Cruz Dance Company offers classes in all styles of dance including tap, jazz, modern contemporary, contemporary, jazz contemporary, lyrical, ballet, tap, hip hop, acrobatics and musical theatre.

What does SCREAM mean?
Santa Cruz Rockers Evolving Art Musically!!!
SCREAM, also known as our hip hop crew, is directed by Shorme Norteye. Noreteye, who has been personally influenced by the late Gary Kendall (Jabbawokeez), also gathers influences from mixed martial arts, capoeira, parkour, house music, breaking etc. SCREAM focuses on building confidence, performance abilities and a strong work ethic. Norteye choreographs dances are aesthetically pleasing while simultaneously widening each students dance vocabulary. The goal of this versatile style of hip hop is to make the each student capable to quickly adapt to the wider world of hip hop dance and choreography. SCREAM, aside from local performances, competitions and conventions (Monsters of Hip Hop and JUMP) can also be see at OneForGee and GaryFest events.
